'The works in ALCHEMY are part of an ongoing exploration of clarity, presence, and connection. My aim is to strip away unnecessary visual noise so the subject feels calm and grounded. I work to create a sense of separation between the animal and the background, allowing the subject to feel as though it is gently moving forward into the viewer’s space. The patterned or textured backgrounds aren’t meant to describe a literal environment, but to slow the viewer down and give the animal room to exist with dignity and focus. 'Sanctum holds a particularly personal meaning for me. The turtle represents safety, endurance, and quiet resilience — the idea of carrying one’s shelter within. For me, this painting is about finding refuge and stillness in a noisy world, and the comfort of retreat without withdrawal. The turtle moves steadily forward, protected but not hidden, embodying a calm persistence that I find deeply reassuring.'
