Myffie Coady
“My work reflects a belief that the natural world is alive with personality. I paint plants and flowers as if they possess human-like qualities expressing gesture, emotion, and presence inviting viewers to see nature as something deeply relatable and full of character.”
Myffie Coady is a self-taught artist based in Port Macquarie, NSW, who has received twenty art awards, including two distinguished Grand Champion prizes.
Encouraged by her grandmother to explore drawing at a young age, Myffie’s deep connection to nature - its flowers, animals, and changing seasons continues to shape her work.
After raising her family and balancing work commitments, Myffie returned to painting full-time about ten years ago. She now paints six days a week in her studio, primarily using acrylics and charcoal.
Her impressionistic style features loose brushwork and earthy tones that capture the energy, movement, and emotion of her subjects.
Central to Myffie’s practice are ideas of meditative beauty, resilience and renewal in Nature. Her paintings invite reflection and emotional connection—encouraging viewers to slow down and appreciate the strength and subtlety of the natural world.
